Hua Hin, an oasis of seaside calm and charm, is relatively easy to get around in. Some 200km south of Bangkok, it is frequented by many Bangkokians who use it as a holiday bolt hole. With an area of 87sqkm, the town has 50,000 inhabitants but swells in holiday seasons.
